LAU Wai Leong (Eddie) has been a solicitor with the Firm since 2016. Prior to joining the Firm, he trained at a mid-sized practice where he specialized in personal injury defence for insurers and securities regulation. Building on this rigorous foundational training, Eddie has developed a versatile and multifaceted practice. He currently focuses on civil litigation, conveyancing and tenancies, and corporate and commercial law, and is pleased to accept instructions across all areas of the Firm’s work.  

 

Eddie possesses sharp advocacy and dispute resolution skills. He represents clients in a broad spectrum of civil disputes, navigating the complexities of the litigation process with a pragmatic and commercially minded approach aimed at achieving favorable outcomes.  

 

Eddie regularly handles residential and commercial property transactions, guiding clients through the complexities of sale and purchase agreements, mortgages, and lease negotiations. He also assists landlords and tenants in resolving tenancy disputes, including the recovery of rental arrears and vacant possession.  

 

In his transactional practice, Eddie advises corporate clients and entrepreneurs on a variety of commercial matters. He assists with the drafting and review of commercial agreements, corporate restructuring, and general compliance, ensuring that his clients’ business operations are legally sound and commercially viable.  

 

Demonstrating a commitment to broadening his legal expertise, Eddie was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in May 2023. Furthermore, he was appointed as a Civil Celebrant of Marriages in June 2024.
