IAN WEN
温朗軼 律師
Consultant
Ian Wen joins the firm as a Consultant, bringing a decade of practical, "in-the-trenches" experience as a Web3 entrepreneur and market veteran. Unlike traditional legal advisors, Ian offers the acute business sense of a founder who has successfully navigated multiple market cycles since 2017.
Prior to joining the firm, Ian served as a senior executive at an offshore digital asset-friendly bank. In this role, he moved beyond theory to execution, overseeing the architectural build-out of institutional-grade infrastructure. His hands-on experience covers the full lifecycle of digital asset operations: establishing secure custody protocols, managing cross-border payment rails, and structuring Real World Asset (RWA) products involving commodities.
Expanding on this institutional expertise, Ian also serves as a key principal at BOA Alphaline, a pioneer crypto asset management firm operating across Malaysia and the BVI. In this capacity, he oversees the strategic deployment of the BOAAM Income Plus Funds, managing sophisticated portfolios that leveraged quantitative trading technology and private equity structures. Ian is instrumental in establishing a robust, compliant ecosystem empowered by accredited auditors, fund administrators, and custodians, ensuring the fund adhered to the highest professional practices while navigating the complexities of sentiment and on-chain data analysis.
His portfolio also includes founding BOAX, where he capitalized on NFT market trends through strategic cultural partnerships.
Ian’s value to clients lies in his deep operational know-how. He understands the law surrounding the digital assets space and the realities of running a Web3 business—from liquidity management and tech stack integration to commercial friction points. He bridges the gap between strict legal requirements and the agility required to succeed, helping clients structure deals that are not only legally robust but commercially viable.
Ian holds law degrees from the University of London (LLB) and Peking University (LLM), along with a B.A. from Columbia University.
